Advanced therapeutics for patients with substance use and dependence

Successful recovery programs are firmly based in twelve step recovery concepts, and treatment outcomes including long-term abstinence are supported by effective treatment of co-occurring medical and neuro-psychiatric conditions.  We offer treatments designed to treat co-occurring conditions that affect substance abuse and dependence patients.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation is an FDA-approved treatment for refractory depression and has been studied in patients with bipolar disorder, PTSD, and anxiety disorders.  We offer this treatment as a medication-free alternative for patients with ongoing depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar.  Ongoing research projects underway at the California Neuromodulation and Brain Health are using transcranial magnetic stimulation for the treatment of ongoing cravings in newly abstinent patients.

Nonsurgical pain management techniques are effective in treating chronic pain that can allow patients with opiate addiction and dependence patients return to a functional life.  The innovative techniques currently in medical practice and under research include ketamine infusions, pulsed radiofrequency nerve treatments, and non-opiate medications used to break chronic pain cycles.

Comprehensive neurological management of post-concussional encephalopathies, seizure disorder, and substance use related cognitive deficits.
